THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DANCE VARIETY (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	As a result of the steady rain that fell prior to and during the running of this race, Jockeys JP van der Merwe and D Ashby reported that their visibility in the latter stages was affected. 
b)	The Clerk of Scales reported that all riders, as a result of the weather conditions, returned to the scale in excess of 1kg over the weight at which they were declared out.
c)	In view of the performances of SUGAR MOUNTAIN (D Ashby) and DANCE VARIETY (JP van der Merwe) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine these geldings.
d)	SILVER FALCON, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
