THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MORGAN LA FAY (A Arries) and EAU DE VIE (*M K Katjedi) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SHE'S NOT EASY (C Maujean) raced wide with no cover on the turn and into the straight, and thereafter was hanging in. b) Leaving the 400m, ROYAL KITTY (K de Melo) was momentarily inconvenienced when close to the heels of HATTA (*R A Venniker) which rolled out. c) In view of the performance of ROYAL KITTY (K de Melo) (11.30 lengths, 4/1 in the betting), which over-raced in the early stages and failed to respond to Jockey K de Melo's urgings in the straight, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) MORGAN LA FAY (A Arries), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
