Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COSMIC ENERGY (C Zackey) was stubborn loading, jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter, was slow into stride. b) LADY CAMPER (D Ashby) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, UNCONQUERABLE LADY (K de Melo) was bumped on the hindquarters by STRATA (A Domeyer), which was brushed outwards by LADY CAMPER (D Ashby). As a consequence, STRATA (A Domeyer) was squeezed out. b) ROADLESSTRAVELLED (G van Niekerk) was hanging out on the turn and as a consequence, raced wide without cover throughout. c) The saddle on TRES CHIC (R Fourie), which raced green, slipped back marginally in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. d) UBUKHWEBEZANA (K Steyn) and LADY LOXTON (L Mxothwa) raced green. e) In view of the report from the starter regarding COSMIC ENERGY (C Zackey), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. Suspension dates: 29/03/2023 to 04/04/2023 inclusive). COSMIC ENERGY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. f) UNCONQUERABLE LADY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
