THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PARADISE FLOWER (R Munger) was stubborn loading. b) ELUSIVE FIRE (*D B Geerthsen) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) LINDA'S LEGACY (G Pieterse) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. d) FLIGHT DE GRACE (J Mariba) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BEGUILING (D Schwarz) pulled hard in the early stages. b) Jockey N Klink reported that POCKETFULLOFSTARS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) In view of the performance of IMPERSONATION (C Zackey), (distance 7,75 lengths, betting 7/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) BEGUILING (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
