Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOUND CHECK (X Ndlovu) was stubborn loading. b) FRANCA (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gate. c) WISHFUL GIRL LINN (L Mxothwa) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty-minute interval between races. b) At the 200m RED BERRY (T Gould) was switched to the inside of STOLEN KISS (R Munger) to continue its run. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that FRANCA did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Apprentice KA Brewer reported that TIPSY TINA changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the report from the starter regarding SOUND CHECK (X Ndlovu), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 01/04/2023 to 07/04/2023 inclusive). SOUND CHECK may not be presented for re-passing during this period. f) CIVIL RIGHTS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
