THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JADE'S CABERNEIGH (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls. b) COUNTY KILDARE (A Mgudlwa) reared in the stalls on one occasion. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) VARIETY FAIR (T Godden) was hanging out from the 300m. b) Apprentice S Hlengwa's crop (LADIES DAY) became entangled in his reins between the 100m and the 50m. c) Trainer L W Goosen signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented WILLOW CREEK in the parade ring incorrectly equipped. As a result, WILLOW CREEK was withdrawn and a fine of R500 was imposed. d) LADY OF THE SWORD dislodged Jockey K Matsunyane shortly after the pull up, which resulted in him being incapacitated from weighing back in. The Board acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. e) STORM JEWEL (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Webber advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) LADIES DAY raced with a compression mask (advised 03.04.23/07h30). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
