Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WILD FOREVER (*M K Katjedi), SKYFULL (M Yeni) and GILDA GRAY (*P Mxoli) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey R Munger (MONTMERENCY) lost the grasp to his right-side rein at approximately the 400m, which he managed to regather shortly thereafter. b) At approximately the 400m, Jockey K de Melo's (GO FLICHITY) crop got entangled with his left-side rein. c) At approximately the 150m, CALL ME MASTER (C Maujean) was brushed out marginally by ROMEO'S MAGIC (G Lerena), which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with CALL ME MASTER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey G Lerena's crop use on ROMEO'S MAGIC. f) ROMEO'S MAGIC (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Warren advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SKYFULL: Jockey M Yeni weighed out at 52,3kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CALL ME MASTER not striding out right front. b) MONTMERENCY coughing post race. c) SKYFULL fatigued. SCRATCHED: a) SAGE KING insufficient recovery time (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
