THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VAL D'ORCIA (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) KUUMA (R Fourie) and ABOUT TO STORM (K de Melo) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KUUMA (R Fourie) squatted on the back gates as the start was effected resulting in this gelding jumping awkwardly leaving the stalls losing one length. b) WHAFEEF (D De Gouveia) commenced to over-race proving difficult to settle in the early stages. c) ADMIRAL DOOLEY (K Matsunyane) hung out in the concluding stages. d) SUPREME WARRIOR (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
