Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SUGAR MOUNTAIN (A Domeyer) jumped outwards and made contact with NUMZAAN (K Steyn). b) MONTIEN (A Andrews) and BLACKBERRY MALT (A Arries) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KEBONALESEDI (O Noach) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. b) MONTIEN (A Andrews) was hanging out in the latter stages. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, which raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight, tired quickly when placed under pressure from the 400m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) SUGAR MOUNTAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
