b) 	ROGUE MALE (JP van der Merwe), THE WINTER LAKE (M Yeni), GANTSTER BOSS (X Ndlovu) & SOUND OF HOOVES (K Steyn) were stubborn loading and thereafter, slow into stride.
c)	PRINCESS INN (Y Ramzan) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter, slow into stride.
d)	MIDNIGHT VERDICT (S Khumalo) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls.
e)	KILMONIVAIG (R Munger) was nervous in the stalls.
f)	DASHING LEGEND (A Arries) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	KILMONIVAIG (R Munger) was hanging in from the 400m and shifted in abruptly away from the crop at the 50m.
b)	Between the 50m and the finish SIBERIAN FOX (L Mxothwa) was carried out marginally by SIRNIHAALLONGSWORD (S Moodley), which was hanging out throughout. 
c)	In view of the performances of DASHING LEGEND (A Arries) and PRINCESS INN (Y Ramzan), which were having their first race, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine these fillies.
d)	In view of the performance of SOUND OF HOOVES (K Steyn), which was having its first race, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
e)	GANGSTER BOSS (X Ndlovu) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. f)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding PRINCESS INN (Y Ramzan), Trainer L Lotz will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
g)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding SOUND OF HOOVES (K Steyn), Trainer JVA Strydom will be advised to have this colt re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
h)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding THE WINTER LAKE (M Yeni), Trainer GD Smith will be advised to have this colt re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
i)	In view of the report from the starter regarding GANGSTER BOSS (X Ndlovu), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 08/04/2023 to 14/04/2023 inclusive). GANGSTER BOSS may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
j)	Trainer JP Nel was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he failed to present MIDNIGHT VERDICT correctly shod in the parade ring. Trainer JP Nel signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R2500,00.
k)	KILMONIVAIG, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee G Venter, acting on behalf of Trainer TJ Laing, was advised. (SP)
