THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PROMONTORY (D De Gouveia) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) LEVITATOR (*D B Geerthsen) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, AIR FUSION (C Maujean), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, and US OPEN (P Strydom), which was carried out by PROMONTORY (D De Gouveia), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, came together and bumped on two occasions. b) AIR FUSION (C Maujean) commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m. c) FREE MOVEMENT (R Munger) hung out from the 300m. d) PROMONTORY (D De Gouveia) compounded from the 300m. e) DUNGEONS (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
