THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DOUBLE RUGGED (*M K Katjedi) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DOIN' TIME (R Fourie) and SOUL CAPTAIN (*S Hlengwa) over-raced in the early stages. b) At the 1000m, SOUL CAPTAIN (*S Hlengwa) was eased momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of RED SPARK (T Godden). c) Leaving the 1000m, KODIAK ISLAND (D Schwarz) was inconvenienced between RED PIANO (M Yeni) and the inside running rail. d) In view of the performance of SAFE SPACE (A Arries) (8.80 lengths, 5/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) RADICCHIO (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
