Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	COLORAMA (M Thackeray) was fractious in the stalls.
b)	MAGIC INSPIRATION (K Minnie) jumped inwards and made contact with OWLETTE (K Matsunyane).
c)	BUTTERCUP (K Steyn) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	While being saddled OWLETTE (K Matsunyane) lost its right hind shoe, which the farrier could not replace. In terms of Rule 58.8.3.1 and in consultation with Trainer K Mitchley, the left hind shoe was removed and OWLETTE (K Matsunyane) raced unshod behind. 
b)	At the 100m Jockey R Fourie (SWEET THE SOUND) hesitated with his riding when tightened for galloping room between NKALANZINZI (C Maujean) and COLORAMA (M Thackeray), which was hanging in. Thereafter, SWEET THE SOUND (R Fourie) was continually held up for a clear run behind COLORAMA (M Thackeray) until the finish.
c)	Jockey S Khathi reported that JAZZBELLA tired quickly in the latter stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	Jockey T Gould reported that he felt something amiss with MON TRESOR. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	Jockey K Minnie reported that MAGIC INSPIRATION did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	Trainer AC Greeff was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented SWEET THE SOUND incorrectly equipped when presented in the parade ring. Assistant Trainer A Mtengwana, acting on behalf of Trainer AC Greeff, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer AC Greeff was fined R500.00.
g)	BADRAH (AUS), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (SP)
