THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	NAMIBIAN QUEEN (A Arries) jumped outwards and made contact with MOTHERSHIP (G van Niekerk) which carried ANNA KARENINA (D Ashby) outwards.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a) 	Shortly after the start GODDEX APHAEA (A Andrews) had to be steadied when racing in restricted galloping room between ELEODORO (O Noach) and ON BOARD (C Orffer).
b)	HANG OUT THE STARS (K de Melo) raced wide on the turn and into the straight.
c)	GODDEX APHAEA (A Andrews) was held up for a clear run until the 250m.
d)	At the 250m ELEODORO (O Noach) had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room between the inside running rail and SUNLIT FROM HEAVEN (C Zackey), which rolled in.
e)	Approaching the 200m YOUCRACKMEUP (L Mxothwa) was momentarily inconvenienced when close to the heels of HANG OUT THE STARS (K de Melo), which shifted in and had to be straightened.
f)	Jockey L Mxothwa reported that YOUCRACKMEUP made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g)	Jockey G van Niekerk reported that MOTHERSHIP did not stride out freely in running and he eased this filly out of the race in the concluding stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
h)	JUST BEFORE DAWN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (EF)
