THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, PEAK PREDATOR (C Zackey) reared in the stalls, was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently scratched. b) GOLDEN PAVILION (*M K Katjedi) reared in the stalls. c) CAPTAIN WARA (S Khumalo), HALBERDIER (M Yeni), PRINCE OF KILDARE (D De Gouveia), READY TO CHARGE (J P van der Merwe) and TYSON THE BRAVE (*P Mxoli) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GOLDEN PAVILION (*M K Katjedi) hung out from the 300m. b) Apprentice P Mxoli reported that TYSON THE BRAVE changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) READY TO CHARGE (J P van der Merwe), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) READY TO CHARGE is a gelding (gelded 11 August 2022). Trainer A Azzie signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.3 in that he failed to notify the Chief Stipendiary Steward of the Stipendiary Board within two (2) business days of READY TO CHARGE entering his training establishment that it is a gelding.
