THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, IN THE BEGINNING (S Khumalo) was bumped in by FLOWERBOMB (M van Rensburg), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ROCKETS RED GLARE (*M K Katjedi) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. c) In the concluding stages, FLOWERBOMB (M van Rensburg), which hung in from the 600m, was carried in marginally by IN THE BEGINNING (S Khumalo), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. d) IN THE BEGINNING (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee A Mofokeng, acting on behalf of Trainer J A Soma, was advised (LK).
