THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	PRINCESS PHILIPPA (D De Gouveia) and AVOONTOAST (S Khumalo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	SIMPLE SIMPLE (K de Melo) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
c)	NATIONAL STAR (*S Sosibo) and PRAIRIE FALCON (*P Mxoli) were slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	As the start was effected, QUEEN OF GAUL (*K A Brewer) was bumped by PRINCESS PHILIPPA (D De Gouveia), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, and PRAIRIE FALCON (*P Mxoli), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
b)	Shortly after the start, LOLLAPALOOZA (*M K Katjedi) became unbalanced and had its hindquarters turned inwards when bumped by AVOONTOAST (S Khumalo), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
c)	PRINCESS PHILIPPA (D De Gouveia) and LOLLAPALOOZA (*M K Katjedi) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. 
d)	At approximately the 1200m, SHE'S A RAINBOW (K Matsunyane), which was directed inwards to obtain cover, was steadied momentarily to avoid the heels of WOKONDA (M Yeni).
e)	Apprentice P Mxoli reported that PRAIRIE FALCON did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 	
f)	SIMPLE SIMPLE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. 
Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised (MduP). 		

JOCKEY CHANGES:
a)	SIMPLE SIMPLE Jockey K de Melo weighed out at 54,2kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
