THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AERIAL VIEW (L Mxothwa) jumped inwards and made contact with SILVER SLIPPERS (M Yeni). b) MAIDEN'S COVE (S Khumalo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 800m KAVIAN'S CARA (T Gould) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the outside of HEY SIRI (C Maujean). b) Approaching the 400m CRAFTY HEART (M Thackeray) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed between SILVER SLIPPERS (M Yeni) and MAIDEN'S COVE (S Khumalo), which was held up behind a tiring NASIRIYAH (L Nhlapo) and rolled out. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with SUGARBERRY and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of READY TO FLY (A Arries) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) AERIAL VIEW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis Trainer GD Smith was advised.
