THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ZIL MORIS (C Orffer) was restless in the stalls.
b)	TOUCHDOWN (O Noach) and MY GOLLY MOLLY (D de Gouveia) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter, were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Approaching the 1200m OZARK (D Ashby) was steadied when racing tight on the inside of LORD FYFIELD (A Domeyer), which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of AVIGNON (J Jacobs).
b)	AVIGNON (J Jacobs) was hanging out from the 400m.
c)	In view of the performance of FOUR JACKS (G van Niekerk), which raced green on the turn, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
d)	The saddle on OZARK (D Ashby) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.
e)	Jockey G Behr reported that BIG FELLA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
f)	MONUMENTAL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Woolard, acting on behalf of Trainer GS Kotzen, was advised. (SL)
