Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LANDINGONTHEMOON (K Steyn) was reluctant to load and thereafter was restless in the stalls.
b)	STATE OF SHOCK (O Noach) jumped inwards. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start TWICE TOLD (G Behr) was squeezed out between GREEN MANDARIN (R Fourie) and STATE OF SHOCK (O Noach), which jumped inwards.
b)	Approaching the 250m GREEN MANDARIN (R Fourie) was carried in and then had to be checked, losing momentum, when tightened for galloping room on the inside of RAINBOW COLOURS (S Veale), which was hanging in and shifted in despite Jockey S Veale's efforts. A Stipendiary Steward called for a race review, which was followed by him lodging an Objection on behalf of the fourth-placed horse GREEN MANDARIN against the third-placed horse RAINBOW COLOURS on the grounds of interference at the 250m. The Objection Board, after giving due regard to the evidence put forward, reviewing the patrol films and giving consideration of the margin of 0,3 of a length between the two horses concerned, was of the opinion that but for the interference RAINBOW COLOURS would have finished ahead of GREEN MANDARIN had this incident not occurred and therefore upheld the Objection and amended the Judge's result.
c)	LEGAL CHITCHAT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised. (TJ)
