THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PALO QUEEN (C Zackey) and MASKED VIGILANTE (L Mxothwa) made contact leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 250m WHY NOT JACKIE (D Ashby) made contact with the hindquarters of EASY MONEY (J Jacobs) and had to be steadied when carried outwards slightly by SHE'S MY CAPTAIN (R Fourie), which was hanging out and proved difficult to assist. In this incident EASY MONEY (J Jacobs) became unbalanced for a number of strides. b) At the 150m WORDSWORTH (A Arries), which was initially brushed outwards by TUSCAN GOLD (S Veale), had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between TUSCAN GOLD (S Veale) and PORQUE TE VAS (G van Niekerk), which rolled in marginally. c) SHE'S MY CAPTAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Rix was advised.
