THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUEEN'S GAMBIT (+P Mongqawa) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) SHE'S A KLAWER (+D Botha) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) SHINY SILVA (+S Myendeki) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, HEARTLIGHT (+N Ngqwangi) became unbalanced and took an awkward stride when bumped by SHE'S A KLAWER (+D Botha), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) Shortly after the start, TOGETHER AGAIN (+T Ncume) ran onto and clipped the heels of ELUSIVE FIRE (+T Lukhele). c) HEARTLIGHT (+N Ngqwangi) hung in from the 700m and thereafter tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) ELUSIVE FIRE (+T Lukhele), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
