THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COLORADO CREEK (*M K Katjedi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) KINGDOM OF GOLD (R Danielson), QUEEN OF VERONA (J Greyling), STAY FOCUSED (M van Rensburg) and WUGUG (K Matsunyane) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, IVY LEAGUE (J P van der Merwe) and COLORADO CREEK (*M K Katjedi) came together and bumped. b) QUEEN OF VERONA (J Greyling) and STAY FOCUSED (M van Rensburg) commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m. c) In view of the performance of JJ'S EAGLE (J R Syster), which tired badly from the 200m, (distance 31,00 lengths, betting 50/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) COLORADO CREEK (*M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
