THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CRUIZIN CALIFORNIA (C Bantam) jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter, were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 700m JUST BEFORE DAWN (JP van der Merwe) shifted in towards the inside running rail and had to be corrected. b) Leaving the 200m METAR (L Mxothwa) rolled in and brushed OFFICIAL SECRET (A Arries). c) In view of the performance of HANG OUT THE STARS (C Zackey) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of PEUT ETRE MOI (R Fourie) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) LUCY THE PINK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
