THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZATARA MAGIC (D Schwarz) stood awkwardly in the stalls. b) LORD NELSON (S Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length. c) PERFECTION (JP van der Merwe), DAMMI (K Minnie) and QUASIMODO (M Yeni) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of DAMMI (K Minnie), which tired quickly in the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. b) MACHETE MAN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
