Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GODDEX APHAEA (A Andrews) was stubborn loading.
b)	MOTHERSHIP (JP van der Merwe) was restless in the stalls, threw its head to the side and made contact with the front gate leaving the stalls. As a consequence, MOTHERSHIP (JP van der Merwe) lost one length and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	POORLITTLERICHGIRL (L Mxothwa) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
b)	In view of the performance of NAMIBIAN QUEEN (A Arries), which had to be encouraged to hold its position from the 700m and gave ground to the field in the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
c)	Jockey K Matsunyane reported that BO KAAP choked up in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding MOTHERSHIP (JP van der Merwe) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding MOTHERSHIP (JP van der Merwe), Trainer JMT Stewart will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
f)	In view of the report from the starter regarding GODDEX APHAEA (A Andrews), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 21/05/2023 to 27/05/2023 inclusive). GODDEX APHAEA may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g)	FALLO ANCORA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
