Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WHO DO YOU LOVE (D Ashby) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GOING UP (A Domeyer) cast its right front shoe in the saddling area, which was replaced prior to it proceeding to the start. b) YOUNG LOVE (C Orffer) was hanging out from the 300m. c) Between the 200m and 50m LOVE IS A ROSE (JP van der Merwe), BROADWAY GIRL (C Zackey), KWINTA'S LIGHT (R Fourie) and HAPPY CHANCE (L Mxothwa), which itself showed an inclination to hang outwards, were carried outwards when on the outside of DO ANGELS CRY (M Winnaar), which raced prominently and commenced to hang out under pressure. d) Approaching the 150m GOLD POKER GAME (A Andrews) had to be steadied and lost momentum when crowded for galloping room between the inside running rail and WHO DO YOU LOVE (D Ashby), which rolled in marginally away from the crop. Thereafter, GOLD POKER GAME (A Andrews) was directed to the outside of WHO DO YOU LOVE (D Ashby) to continue its run. Jockey A Andrews, after viewing the patrol film regarding this incident, took no further action. e) GOING UP, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
