THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LUCKY MISS (S Veale) was stubborn to load. THE STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 200m, LADY SERENA (M Yeni) and KAILENE (G Lerena) were carried in marginally by ALPHABETTY (T Godden) which was hanging in, rolled in and was immediately straightened. b) In view of the performances of FABULOUS (*R A Venniker) (8.30 lengths, 5/1 in the betting) and FEELING GROOVY (38.50 lengths, 15/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer G Kotzen was asked to report back on the condition of FEELING GROOVY on return to stables (MB). c) ALPHABETTY (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt advised (NS).
