THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPRING IN HEAVEN (K Matsunyane) was restless in the stalls. b) EXPLOSIVE BOND (Wes Marwing) fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing three lengths. Trainer P F Matchett was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, EXPLOSIVE BOND (Wes Marwing) cast its head into the adjacent stalls. This resulted in this filly jumping awkwardly, giving ground to the field. b) Jockey C Maujean reported to the Stipendiary Board that his instructions were to ride DUELLONA with limited crop use as this filly demonstrated resentment to the crop. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that SO SEDUCTIVE took a number of awkward strides in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) WHITE PEARL (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
