THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At the 350m FUTURE PEARL (S Khumalo) was steadied in anticipation of the available run closing between GOOD COUNCIL (J Penny) which rolled inwards and the inside running rail. Thereafter at the 250m, QUEUE WING (S Moodley) had to be steadied when it was anticipated that he would be awkwardly placed on the heels of GOOD COUNCIL (J Penny) which shifted out. Jockey J Penny (GOOD COUNCIL) appeared before the Board and was advised that he has to provide sufficient clearance to other runners before shifting ground in races in future.
b)	In the concluding stages REX UNION (K de Melo) was brushed by ONE WAY TRAFFIC (G van Niekerk) which was hanging in from the 200m.
c)	In view of the performance of SALVATOR MUNDI (R Fourie) (10.80 lengths, 16/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d)	SEA MASTER (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (HM).
e)	RAISEAHALLELUJAH (J P v'd Merwe), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Brown acting on behalf of Trainer C Dawson advised (DZ).
