b)	GLITTERING BOOTS (S Khumalo) jumped outwards.
c)	HUNDREDFIFTHAVENUE (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length.
d)	SOUND OF HOOVES (JR Syster) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	CALIFORNIA BOY (F Herholdt) lifted its right front shoe, which had to be attended to at the start.
b)	Leaving the 600m AMERICAN HASHTAG (D Ashby) brushed the inside running rail and had to be steadied.
c)	CALIFORNIA BOY (F Herholdt) was hanging in throughout and proved difficult to assist in the latter stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	BOLD AS BRASS (M Thackeray) was hanging in in the straight.
e)	SIBERIAN FOX, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (HK)
