Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING OF SEVILLE (D Daniels) kicked the back gates, removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and re-loaded. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start KING OF SEVILLE (D Daniels) was brushed in by NELSON BAY (S Khumalo) which was brushed in by PASCHALS NJARO (C Maujean) which rolled in and was immediately corrected. As a result, KING BAVARIAN (T Godden) was eased when awkwardly placed between TIGER SPRING (*R A Venniker) and KING OF SEVILLE (D Daniels). Jockey C Maujean (PASCHALS NJARO) appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he allows more room to his inside prior to shifting ground in races in future. b) DOIN' TIME (C Dicken) was hanging in, in the straight. c) At the 250m Jockey C Dicken (DOIN' TIME) dropped his right side rein which he regained at the finish. d) NELSON BAY (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) KING OF SEVILLE raced equipped with blinkers (advised 30.05.23/09h37). b) PASCHALS NJARO raced without a tongue tie (advised 31.05.23/07h54).
