THE STARTER REPORTED: a) INGAKARA (N Patel) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start LUCK OF THE IRIS (J Gates) was squeezed out between JUST VIRGINIA (*K J Lihaba) and AMERICAN STYLE (T Godden) which jumped out leaving the starting stalls. b) At approximately the 300m INGAKARA (N Patel) had to ease when, after improving, was awkwardly placed between EYE CATCHING (S Veale) and RECKLESS LOVE (C Habib). Thereafter INGAKARA (N Patel) had to switch in to continue its run. c) At approximately the 250m, when racing in close proximity, FASHIONIGMA (K de Melo) and COLUMBIA ROAD (M Yeni) come together and brushed. d) Apprentice K J Lihaba (JUST VIRGINIA) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) GILDA GRAY (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ROSSLYNE raced without a tongue tie (advised 31.05.23/08h28). b) LUCK OF THE IRIS raced without blinkers (advised 31.05.23/08h00).
