THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COPPER MIST (M Yeni) was stubborn loading. b) ZOOMBOMBER (C Zackey) stumbled badly leaving the stalls. c) DARING ACT (B Nyawo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, DARING ACT (B Nyawo) was squeezed out when awkwardly placed between READY TO CHARGE (J P van der Merwe) and KING RAHUL (D Schwarz), which was brushed in by JERUSALEMA RAIN (R Danielson), which in turn was bumped in by ZOOMBOMBER (C Zackey), which stumbled badly leaving the stalls. b) MAMBO'S CALL (*P Mxoli) hung in from the 300m. c) JERUSALEMA RAIN (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT was ridden by Jockey S Khumalo (declared 1 June 2023 at 10H24). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) READY TO CHARGE is a gelding, incorrectly carded (gelded 11 August 2022). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) READY TO CHARGE cut into right hind.
