THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	A fair start.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At the 300m GOOD TRAVELLER (*R A Venniker) was switched to the outside of THUNDERSTRUCK (S Khumalo) to continue its run. Thereafter, at the 150m GOOD TRAVELLER (*R A Venniker) was brushed out by BARTHOLDI (C Zackey) which rolled out.
b)	At the 150m SEEKING THE STARS (R Khathi) was steadied momentarily when in restricted room between the heels of THUNDERSTRUCK (S Khumalo) and SURJAY (L Mxothwa).
c)	At the 100m SURJAY (L Mxothwa) and THUNDERSTRUCK (S Khumalo) came together and brushed, and thereafter came together and brushed shortly before the finish. A race review was called into this incident by a member of the Stipendiary Board. After considering the above report, no further action was taken.
d)	Jockey D De Gouveia reported that SUPREME WARRIOR made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	Jockey G Lerena reported that WILLIAM ROBERTSON faltered in the running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	GIMMME A PRINCE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Kannemeyer advised (HM).
g)	THUNDERSTRUCK (S Khumalo), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (DM).
h)	SURJAY (L Mxothwa), placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Crawford acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford advised (JN).
