THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FAIRY TRIPP (S Moodley) reared on one occasion in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start FAIRY TRIPP (S Moodley) which was slow into stride was bumped by BABY LOVE (T Godden) which jumped in. b) At the 250m VISION TO ACHIEVE (K Matsunyane) was steadied off the heels of JANE'S VISION (*R A Venniker) which was hanging in from the 300m and rolled in. c) Shortly before the finish MAMAS BABY (A Mgudlwa) was brushed by FULL OF MAGIC (S Khumalo) which shifted in away from the crop. d) JANE'S VISION (*R A Venniker) changed stride continuously in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey T Godden reported that BABY LOVE took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Jockey T Godden signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride BABY LOVE out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. g) MAMAS BABY (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (DZ).
