THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ALWAYS SHINING (L Mxothwa) rushed the front gates of the starting stalls.
b)	TOP DOLLAR (J Gates) and MAFIABAGSTHEMONEY (K Minnie) were slow into stride.	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	HAT HOT HAT (C Zackey), which was hanging out, covered substantial lateral ground from the 300m.
b)	ALWAYS SHINING (L Mxothwa) was hanging in from the 200m. Jockey L Mxothwa reported that his saddle 	slipped sideways in running which, in his opinion, placed him at a disadvantage.
c)	Jockey Y Ramzan was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride VISIONARY 	DREAMER out to the end of the race and prejudiced his chance of obtaining fifth (5th) place. Jockey Y Ramzan 	signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1775.00.
d)	An Inquiry will be opened into the manner in which Jockey K Steyn (TO BE FREE) eased up his mount after 	the finish.
e)	HAT HOT HAT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised. (LM)
