THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TRANSACT (C Maujean) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey J Jacobs reported that FATHER'S FROST took no interest in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on TRANSACT, resulting in a change of rider. Jockey L Mxothwa signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1500.00. c) TRANSACT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised.
