THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MIZZEN SAIL (D De Gouveia) was stubborn loading. b) GOLDEN PAVILION (C Zackey) was stubborn loading and thereafter slow into stride. Trainer A G Laird was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (GT). c) SKY ON FIRE (A Mgudlwa) reared in the stalls. Trainer T Zackey was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (GT). d) MAMBO'S CALL (D Schwarz) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. e) ETHANATOR (S Khumalo), MAJOR PLAYER (K de Melo) and MASTERSHIP (C Maujean) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process, SKY ON FIRE (A Mgudlwa) became restless, reared, was removed from the stalls, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) Shortly after the start, MK'S DREAMS (M Yeni) was bumped out by MAMBO'S CALL (D Schwarz), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) In the concluding stages, GOLDEN PAVILION (C Zackey) was carried out marginally by MAMBO'S CALL (D Schwarz), which shifted out away from the crop from the 200m. d) MK'S DREAMS (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
