THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 800m, INTREPID (A Arries) was carried in by SLEEK AS SILK (M Yeni) which shifted in to obtain a position closer to the running rail. Jockey M Yeni (SLEEK AS SILK) appeared before the Board regarding this incident and was advised that he should not be an influence on any horse or rider in a race and that he should only shift ground when he is sufficiently clear. Jockey M Yeni (SLEEK AS SILK) was also shown the Patrol Film of the closing stages and was advised that he should ride his mounts with sufficient vigour and purpose so as to leave no room for query from the Stewards. b) In view of the performance of FUTUREWOLFF (S Khumalo) (5.45 lengths, 17/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) ROSH KEDESH (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
