THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAIN OR SHINE (C Maujean) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) GREENLIGHT MAGIC (M Yeni) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, RAIN OR SHINE (C Maujean) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with the left-side front gate, which bounced back. Simultaneously, VITELLIUS (K de Melo) was brushed out by JP TWO THOUSAND (C Habib), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) ROLL OVER REDROVER (*M K Katjedi), which commenced to over-race, raced wide and without cover around the turn and into the straight. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that BOB'S YOUR UNCLE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey D Schwarz reported that IN CAHOOTS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) CELESTIAL CITY (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) IN CAHOOTS: Jockey D Schwarz weighed out at 55,2kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
