Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUEEN OF SMOKE (D De Gouveia) and LEE EXPRESS (J R Syster) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, LADY REGENT ducked outwards sharply and refused to gallop. This filly is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4, until such time as she proves tractable loading, jumping and galloping on terms with a companion on a Raceday. Trainer C Dawson advised (AH). b) In view of the performance of WOKONDA (G Lerena), (distance 5,75 lengths, betting 28/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Apprentice K A Brewer was dislodged from BEGUILING in the pull-up area, was attended to by the course paramedics and transported to the medical centre for further examination, which precluded him from weighing in. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. d) ELEMBEE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ELEMBEE: Jockey K de Melo weighed out at 54,8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LEE EXPRESS raced equipped with blinkers (declared 12 June 2023 at 09H10). b) LADY REGENT raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 15 June 2023 at 08H15).
