b)	SHORT SHARP SHOCK (*P Mxoli) was restless in the stalls, jumped inwards and made contact with TWICE THE FLO (L Nhlapo).
c)	MAYA'S CAT (S Khumalo) rushed the front gates of the starting stalls.
d)	ROYAL VENUS (M Thackeray) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	In view of the performance of SHORT SHARP SHOCK (*P Mxoli) (Betting 17/10 ; Distance 9.35 lengths), which tired quickly from the 200m, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
b)	SHORT SHARP SHOCK (*P Mxoli) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J Batt)
c)	MAYA'S CAT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised. (HK)
