THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LADY TIPTREE (S Moodley) was slow losing 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls LILLYBELLE (*R A Venniker) was brushed in by SOUTHERN CAPE (K de Melo) which jumped inwards. b) At approximately the 1600m LILLYBELLE (*R A Venniker) was inconvenienced when racing in close proximity to the heels of AQUAE SULIS (S Veale) which was carried in marginally by ICE SUNSATION (R Khathi) which rolled in. c) At approximately the 500m LADY TIPTREE (S Moodley) was brushed out by LILLYBELLE (*R A Venniker) which rolled out. d) WOODLAND RETREAT (T Godden) was hanging in from the 400m. e) In view of the performance of LET IT SNOW (C Habib) (16.50 lengths, 33/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) SOUTHERN CAPE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
