a)	At the 350m WARHAWK BOMBER (*R A Venniker) and RAF'S ROCKET (K de Melo) came together and brushed resulting in RAF'S ROCKET (K de Melo) being turned inwards. Thereafter, at the 250m WARHAWK BOMBER (*R A Venniker) was brushed in by RAF'S ROCKET (K de Melo) which rolled in.
b)	PROFESSOR LUPIN (S Veale) was hanging in from the 200m.
c)	 JOSEPHINE'S PRIDE (M Yeni) raced green.
d)	Jockey K de Melo reported that RAF'S ROCKET took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	Jockey B Jacobson reported that THE BOSS did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	Trainer Y Govender signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that he failed to notify the Chief Stipendiary Steward within two days that THE BOSS is a gelding. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R500 was imposed.
g)	PURPLENINJATURTLE (W Marwing), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W H Marwing acting on behalf of Trainer W C Marwing advised (DZ).
