THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IMPRESSIVE NESSIE (K Steyn) jumped slow, losing one length. b) F EIGHT (L Mxothwa) and TUSCANY (JP van der Merwe) made contact leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, LOOK FORWARD (G van Niekerk) lifted its left hind shoe on the way to the start, which had to be re-fitted. b) At the 300m DIAMOND ROCKSTAR (D Ashby) rolled out and had to be steadied when close to the heels of TUSCANY (JP van der Merwe). c) LOOK FORWARD (G van Niekerk) was hanging out in the latter stages. d) In view of the performance of AMETHYSTIC (O Noach), the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) ON BOARD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
