STARTER REPORTED: a) NAMAQUA BLOSSOM (C Zackey) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) TRENTINO (D De Gouveia) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, LILLIANA (M Yeni) and ADMIRE ME (G Lerena) came together and brushed. Simultaneously, MEMORIAL DAY (*M K Katjedi) was brushed in by AVOONTOAST (S Khumalo), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that LILLIANA took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) CRIMSON PRINCESS (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ADMIRE ME was ridden by Jockey G Lerena (declared 21 June 2023 at 10H33).
