THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOOD REASON (L Mxothwa) was examined by the course veterinary surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. b) THE LITTLE GIRL (Y Ramzan) was stubborn loading and fly-jumped leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey D Schwarz was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking SUNDROP more than 12 times in the entire race (13). Jockey D Schwarz signed an admission of guilt and was fined R2000,00. b) GHALAATI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
