b)	PURE MAVERICK (G van Niekerk) was squeezed out leaving the stalls.
c)	GRINKOV (G Lerena) jumped outwards and made contact with PACIFIC GREEN (S Khumalo).

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	PRIMULA (K Steyn) had to steady to avoid the heels of CRUISE CONTROL (W Kennedy) that jumped out at the start.
b)	CRUISE CONTROL (W Kennedy) raced prominently and gave ground quickly in the concluding stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
c)	GRINKOV (G Lerena) and PURE MAVERICK (G van Niekerk) raced green.
d)	Jockey S Khumalo reported he felt something amiss with PACIFIC GREEN. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	Jockey A Andrews reported that he felt something amiss with BENEATH THE MOON and he did not persevere with his riding from the 100m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	In view of the report from the starter regarding CRUISE CONTROL (W Kennedy), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 29/01/2022 to 05/02/2022 inclusive). CRUISE CONTROL may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
