Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	UNCLE GEORGE (E Webber) was nervous in the stalls.
b)	SILVER STARDUST (M Yeni) and GREEN FALCON (S Khumalo) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The saddle on UNCLE GEORGE (E Webber) slipped back marginally shortly after the start. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.
b)	While attempting a narrow run between AMERICAN DREAM (JP van der Merwe) and DOWNING SEVEN (L Mxothwa) at the 250m, SILVER STARDUST (R Fourie) was held up for a clear run and then had to be steadied when close to the heels of DOWNING SEVEN (L Mxothwa), which rolled in marginally. Thereafter Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine SILVER STARDUST.



c)	PRINCE OF HEAVEN (M van Rensburg) was hanging in throughout.
d)	AMERICAN DREAM (JP van der Merwe) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced 	pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the 	jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J Batt)
e)	SILVERY BLUE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (SP)
